For the Cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen berries

For the Crumb Topping:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon for the topping, then add melted butter. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and milk.
  4. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in berries and pour batter into the pan. Sprinkle crumb topping over.
  6. Bake for 40–50 minutes. Cool, slice, and enjoy!
