For the Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh or frozen berries
For the Crumb Topping:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pan.
- Mix flour, sugar, and cinnamon for the topping, then add melted butter. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and milk.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with wet ingredients.
- Fold in berries and pour batter into the pan. Sprinkle crumb topping over.
- Bake for 40–50 minutes. Cool, slice, and enjoy!
